That is an amazing system, really large for residential in my latitude. I just completed a 7.5KVA system wit 26 panels that is predicted and on track to make 13.5MWH/A but we have some of the best irradiance on the planet in my area. I know those roof mounts you are using are quite expensive. What cost more, the mounts or the modules (panels) that are on them? And 30MWH/Y? Are you running Halide lighting? Electric heat? That’s a lot of energy.

Indeed you are lucky with more sunlight making your system perform optimal throughout the year. The modules are more expensive. I choose these flatfix fusion mounts from esdec because of the quick mounting system. Diy would have cost me much more in material and time to mount it all. https://youtu.be/qyS9h0wjl_0 happy DSR reefer |

Today i recieved this package
The U-Reef will be controlled by GHL Profilux and the KH Director. Normaly i build everything myself with discrete components. After all those years doing DiY it was time to try something more advanced. It seems GHL has been running along quite a while and they produce state of the art products. happy DSR reefer |

Now waiting for a quotation for the glass Meanwhile i used a old side table to build my (portable) GHL measuring station around. Now i am playing with the GHL stuff. The KH director is real great and consistent. You can also adjust a correction factor to meet your own reference standaard. Which i did... Last edited by glennf; 10/14/2019 at 05:04 PM. |

Awww man, why didn't you notch the other piece of wood too? Having the center of that not over the vertical wood gives me a case of the willies.

To make sure my floor could handle the load , i asked my constructor of another building project to look at my plans. Due to other works he had laying around, it took him 3 week to do the math. He also consulted a colleague constructor about the matter and they came up with the following advice.
Tank3 was a problem. I wanted it 300x120x55wh That was critical..... so the tank was downsized to 200x120x40wh happy DSR reefer |

Thanks m8
The glas for section 1 and 2 has been ordered and will be deliverd 1st week of 2020. Because i did want to push things and many manufacturers stop production around 16 december which caused a pileup in orders. Section 3 will be placed after te removal of the current tank sitting on that space. happy DSR reefer |

Due to life we had some delay
Now there is no way back! The glass arrived today, so we have to pull through with this project from now on. I yet have to detemine whether is will glue it as one single tank or as 3 part segmented tank for redundancy. https://youtube.com/user/glennfhome |
